Tried to get an appointment many times but nobody answers or calls back. I personally took my referral to their office and gave it to an assistant who said he would call my cell to make an appointment to see a doctor and I still never got a call back. Needless to say I had my primary send a referral to another cardiologist. Word of this same treatment is all over town. The second star is for the pleasant front desk crew.

I was extremely satisfied with the doctor I recently visited. The physician’s assistant was highly competent, professional, and attentive to my needs. The Doctor’s expertise was quite evident as he reviewed my medical condition and explained further testing plans. He took the time to listen to my concerns and answered all of my questions with patience and empathy. Additionally, his bedside manner was exceptional, making me feel comfortable and reassured throughout the entire appointment. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better doctor and I highly recommend their services.

I am uncomfortable in social situations and the people that work at this place are always very kind, professional, experienced, and I feel relaxed here. I never have to wait long and everything is explain to me so that I can understand it. And if I don’t understand it they explain it again just as kindly as they did the first time. I’m really grateful for that

Everyone was friendly, polite, and respectful. It was a very efficient visit without feeling rushed. The doctor listened to me, asked good/thorough/appropriate questions, explained my EKG to me, and came up with a good, reasonable plan to figure out what is going on.

Called the front desk this morning about 08:05am, said "Good morning ma'am, whom am I speaking with?" and the lady on the phone refused to provide her name after asking three separate times. (It's nice to know whom you're speaking with) I asked to speak with her supervisor and she tried to play dumb, then hung up on me. Called back three more times and she hung up on me immediately. I'm just trying to get in contact with my medical team, not deal with a negative front desk lady that didn't get enough sleep last night and has no common courtesy, professionalism, nor accountability.

Front desk was quick with check- in, nurse prompt & efficient & Dr. McDonough listened to my concerns & was proactive in diagnostic measures. Scheduler came In & appointments made on the spot for testing, which takes the burden off patients to follow up & without the hassle of playing phone tag. Professional office I’d recommend! Only downside is having to wait so long to follow up after testing with the Dr., which is 2 mos. time. Meanwhile, that’s 2 mos. Wait for actual treatment of issue. Other than, very pleased!

AK Heart is a mixed bag. Dealing with the front desk over the phone is difficult. Once you get through to someone dealing more specifically with your issue, it is much better. In person dealings have been mostly good. I feel like the care I've had has been competent. However, one doctor did not share with me information he should have, in my opinion. Still, it's about the best you are going to get in Alaska.

I was pleasantly surprised at how clean, esthetically pleasing and eye appealing decor the decor was. From first time check in, to my pacer check to Dr. Compton and his staff, they were all very compassionate and knowledgeable.
